Chatsworth House and Park

One of the largest stately homes in the country, Chatsworth is a popular place to visit in the Peak District, with the granduer of the house and beauty of the extensive gardens and estate. Deer roam freely all year round and there’s plenty of space for the humans to roam as well.
The house is well worth paying the fee to visit, as are the gardens, but if you are looking for a charge-free visit there’s plenty to see and do by wandering over the grounds, perhaps climbing up to the Hunting Tower and walking round the lakes on the high ground that feed the Emperor Fountain and the Cascades.
The interior of the house is spectacular and you are even allowed to take photographs inside. The guide I asked about this said that “This house is the best”, therefore they are pleased that people want to photograph it.
