The bridge carrying the main road over the river Wye into town is perhaps the most photographed view in Bakewell, with good reason.

Bakewell market, held every Monday, is one of the oldest in the country and includes a lively livestock market.

This ancient packhorse bridge is a little way out of the town, just off the main A6 towards Ashford. Probably the oldest of the bridges in Bakewell.
